Intertwined

Industrial materials, soft and gentle colors, and installation media are consistent materials in my work.

My sensitive and emotional younger self, failing to deal with the typical teenager's intense feelings of the overwhelming world, attempts to create an installation and give it some meaning. Exaggerated facial expressions of masks are a cathartic reflection. The canvas is not big enough to carry my overloaded ego. The mirror is designed for a reality check, pulling the adolescent self out of an unrealistic, idealistic imagination.

At the end of the day, you realize that “cultivating your own garden is not a solution to the world’s problems, just your own”.
